چکیده

This paper presents a methodology for the registration of an Interferometric Synthetic Aperture radar (InSAR) pair images with a sub-pixelic precision performed in the Fourier domain, using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). We look for the maximum of the modulus of the cross-correlation coefficient of both images on a window dimensions of 2x2 pixels using an iterative process. This will be possible in the Fourier domain, since a shift in the spatial domain is achieved by a multiplication with an exponential factor (which is the real shift less than one pixel) in the frequency domain. It is shown that the proposed sub-pixelic approach allows the coregistration of the images with an accuracy up to a tenth of a pixel (and even less).

Extracting Dem from Airborne X-band Data Based on Polinsar

Polarimetric Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolInSAR) is a new trend of SAR remote sensing technology which combined polarized multichannel information and Interferometric information. It is of great significance for extracting DEM in some regions with low precision of DEM such as vegetation coverage area and building concentrated area. In this paper we describe our experiments with ...

Detection of the Coherent Scatterers using Sub-Aperture Polarimetric SAR data: the Preliminary Results

The objective of this paper is to assess the sub-aperture analysis technique for the detection of coherent scatterers (CSs) using polarimetric SAR data. The non normalized coherence is used to greatly improve the contrast between the clutter and the target, since it can preserve the strong intensity information of the target. Furthermore, by applying a way similar to the polarimetric interferom...

Glacier motion estimation using SAR offset-tracking procedures

Two image-to-image patch offset techniques for estimating feature motion between satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images are discussed. Intensity tracking, based on patch intensity cross-correlation optimization, and coherence tracking, based on patch coherence optimization, are used to estimate the movement of glacier surfaces between two SAR images in both slant-range and azimuth dire...

SAR imaging using multidimensional continuous wavelet transform and applications to polarimetry and interferometry

Usual SAR imaging process makes the assumption that the reflectors are isotropic and white (i.e., they behave in the same way regardless the angle from which they are viewed and the emitted frequency within the bandwidth). The multidimensional continuous wavelet transform (CWT) in radar imaging was initially developed to highlight the image degradations due to these assumptions. In this article...

Interferometric coherence optimization using the polarimetric signatures

The coherence optimization based on the eigenvalues in radar polarimetry is used to enhance the quality of SAR interferograms. A second and an alternative coherence optimization algorithm which consists in looking at the possible coherence for every combination of elliptical polarizations extracted from the polarimetric signatures and selecting the highest one is also developed, tested and comp...
